Hello folks,

First, the publication and release dates for The Black Act have been approved.

Pre-order date: December 28, 2008
Ebook date: December 28, 2008
Release date: April 28, 2009

I'll be debuting the novel at the World Horror Convention 2009, and I'm planning a small Maritimes book tour, which means I need to get my butt out there and start talking to bookstores. More on that later. The Black Act website is still undergoing construction, and I have purchased www.theblackact.com for its future home. For now, you can take a peek at the WIP site, designed by Jodi Lee.

I've also created a promotional page that gives you more information on the novel, over at my new Esoteric Writings mailing list. You can take a gander at that, here:

Early Praise for "The Black Act", from Bob Freeman:

"The Black Act blew me away. I don't know what I was expecting, but I have to tell you, this far exceeded anything that was nestling in the cobwebbed recesses of my cranial dungeon. It was so magically charged, lyrical, and filled with such stark imagery. There were times when my breath was literally taken away. You've built a rich and beautiful world filled with wonder, excitement, and a darkness that is as visceral as darkness can be. Your depiction of the Fae was nothing short of brilliant, culminating in a dark and terrible feeling of loss and hopelessness that feeds the story so well. This is, in a very real sense, your coming out party. Thanks for inviting me into your world. It's one I'm not ready to leave and I am very much looking forward to reading the more polished and finished version. Nothing excites me more than the prospect of being carried away on the dark wings of the night."

Black Ink Horror Magazine –Issue # 2
Alecto and the Ghul–Louise Bohmer

Alecto and the Ghul is a tale that answered the question I pondered in my strange brain: “What would a relationship of sorts be like for deified or 'supernatural' beings?” The Ghul is a reclusive and ancient member of the Jinn family, and he swoops into Hades looking for a suitable partner to take back to Irem with him...
