Hey folks,
Species, the urban fantasy I wrote with K.H. Koehler, is now live at Kindle! This will be the last book I’ll write for a long time, so I hope you all enjoy it. Go snap up a copy now! Link and blurb below. Hope everyone had a great Halloween!
Species
Louise Bohmer & K.H. Koehler
About: The world is weird. Leigh had no idea how much so until she gets attacked by a vampire-like… something. And now she’s one of them.
What’s worse, absolutely none of the usual rules apply. The Species, as they are called, operate in a shadowy underworld of gothic debauchery, secretly controlling almost every part of human society.
And then there’s Aidan… one of the most powerful, troubled, and beautiful of the Aristocrats. Leigh could fall hard for the guy, but then she uncovers a massive, global conspiracy by the Aristocrats to turn the human race into cattle and the other Subspecies into slaves.
There’s a civil war coming. And if Leigh and Aidan can’t stop it, then it’s the humans who will pay the ultimate price.
If you like action-packed urban fantasy, pulse-pounding paranormal romance, and an unforgettable adventure, then this novel is for you!

It’s about time I got my butt over here to announce the special guest author for The Black Act: Witch Twins Saga Companion. This will be a free guide to the world, people, and faeries found within my dark fantasy novel. I’m very pleased to tell you the guest author will be Kate Jonez. Kate has written a fabulous essay called When Approaching the Fair Folk, and I know you’re going to love it.
This guide will also feature a glossary of terms, suggested fae reading, some creative commons fae pics, a The Black Act playlist, and some other goodies. I’m a bit behind in putting the guide together, and getting the paperback edition of The Black Act: Witch Twins Saga out, but I hope to have the companion released by end of June or July, and the paperback will be out soon. You can still pick up the ebook for 99 cents! Grab it quickly, because I’ll be raising the price to 2.99 soon.
Now, here’s some more info on Kate Jonez, Bram Stoker nominated author and chief editor at Omnium Gatherum.
Kate Jonez writes dark fantasy fiction. Her Bram Stoker ® Award nominated novel Candy House is available at Amazon in print and ebook. Ceremony of Flies is forthcoming from Dark Fuse July 2014.
She is also chief editor at Omnium Gatherum a small press dedicated to providing unique dark fantasy, weird fiction or literary horror in print and ebook formats. Three Omnium Gatherum books have been nominated for Shirley Jackson Awards.
Kate is a student of all things scary and when she isn’t writing she loves to collect objects for her cabinet of curiosities, research obscure and strange historical figures and photograph weirdness in Southern California where she lives with a very nice man and a little dog who is also very nice but could behave a little bit better.

Huge thanks going out to Kate for the essay! I can’t wait to share it with you as a part of The Black Act: Witch Twins Saga Companion. Watch for a cover reveal coming soon as well.
I also had the pleasure of being a part of Detritus, a collection of stories about the impulse to collect, preserve, and display gone horribly wrong, which was released by Omnium Gatherum. So be sure to check that out as well.
Thanks to everyone who joined me yesterday for The Black Act: Witch Twins Saga Release Party. I really appreciate it, and a big thanks going out to M.R. Sellars and Carole Lanham for donating their books The Reading Lessons and Harm None for giveaways. If you haven’t already, please go check out these two wonderfully talented authors and buy their books.
And many thanks for the sales! The book is currently sitting at #28 in Fairy Tales at Amazon. I really appreciate it!

The Black Act: Witch Twins Saga The Complete Serial Novel
Louise Bohmer
Introduction by M.R. Sellars
About: Only 99 cents for a limited time!
The history of a curse is filled with bloody battles, bitter hatred, and dark secrets.
Through five generations, ghosts of war haunt the wise women. When the rebellion of Glenna ends, their curse sleeps bound in the Tunnels of the Dead, waiting for its chance to re-awaken the war between the wood people and Dalthwein clans. Claire, a wise woman born in the valley of the fae, unwittingly helps it escape imprisonment, while her twin sister Anna receives psychic glimpses of ancient secrets she must unravel. With her scribe teacher Rosalind, she also struggles to uncover the reasons behind Claire’s strange behavior, ever escalating since the death of their guild mother, Grianne.
The Age of the Wise Women will cease if the curse does not end with Anna and Claire. Perhaps inheriting the mistakes of their ancestors and learning the truths of their identities will bring great suffering for these witch twins.
The Black Act Witch Twins Saga includes all six books in the serial novel, plus an introduction from award winning paranormal thriller author M.R. Sellars.
