KHP Publishers Names New Editor

I’m now a part of the KHP Publishers family. I’ll be joining Jerrod Balzer, K.H. Koehler, and S.D. Hintz as an Associate Editor, and I’m thrilled to be a part of their fine company. I’ve admired Karen’s work, and how she’s handled herself as an independant author, for some time now. I met the dynamic duo of Jerrod and S.D. back in the My Space days, and I’ve always considered them great guys and great friends. Plus they were a blast to work with on Tabloid Terrors 3, and I’m sure I’ll have a blast as a member of the KHP family.

Clicky the banner below to visit KHP right now, and check out all the enjoyable books they have on offer. Don’t forget to sign up for the newsletter, where you can read all about the latest imprint: Violet Ivy Press.

Two New Interviews

I’m peeking out from beneath my rock to share a couple interviews with yours truly. Much thanks to my dear friend, and all-around sweetheart, Giovanna Lagana for a Q&A she recently did with me. You can check that Q&A out here.

And the lovely and talented KV Taylor recently did a miniview with me for The Red Penny Papers. You can read that here, and be sure to check out my short story in RPP–Parlee Road. (I will thank you kindly on both accounts.)

Parlee Road Live In The Red Penny Papers

My story ‘Parlee Road’ is now live in The Red Penny Papers, an ezine of sensational and fantastical fiction run by KV Taylor, along with John Cash and Mark Deniz. You can read Parlee Road here, and be sure to check out all the great fiction in prior issues and in serial form.

Fae Awareness Month – Peering Into the Fickle Eye of Fae

Did you know June is Fae Awareness Month? You can keep up with all the faerie information, book and movie reviews, faerie essays, and more at the Fae Awareness Month site. While there, faerie lovers should leave a note of thanks to KV Taylor, Mark Deniz, and Sam Kelly for bringing them a whole month of faerie goodness (and badness too–this is faerie).

I’m pleased to be a part of Fae Awareness with  my contribution ‘Peering Into the Fickle Eye of Fae.’ Much thanks again to KV Taylor for asking me to be a part of Fae Awareness.

Old School – Book Trailer and Kindle Edition

Guess what is available for your Kindle? The brand new, shiny Old School anthology! You can grab Old School for the Kindle here. And it’s only $2.99. You can also grab a copy via Smashwords here.

Plus, here’s the official Old School book trailer, made by a strange wood nymph who I claim no association with. She just dumped the trailer on my doorstep a few days back, thumbed her nose at me, and then ran off into the night. Typical.

Guest Blog at Zoe Whitten’s Place and The Black Act News

The dear Ms. Zoe Whitten has been kind enough to host a guest blog from yours truly on “Sex in Horror.” Much thanks to Zoe for putting up my thoughts. Please check it out here. While you’re there, be sure to check out Zoe’s homepage, which you’ll find in the side bio with her cute picture. I highly recommend reading Zombie Punter and Confessions of a Zombie Lover, if you are looking for something different and thought-provoking in the zombie sub-genre.

The Black Act News

And an update on my novel, The Black Act. My publisher has been an absolutely great guy, and I can’t complain, as it’s been a great two years with Library of Horror. As my contract comes to a close, I’ve decided to take the book in a different direction.

If you are still interested in a print copy of the novel, I may have a special offer for readers in the near future. Alternatively, feel free to give me a shout at blackfaery ‘at’ yahoo ‘dot’ ca if you would like a print copy. Looks like you can still grab the Kindle edition here.

Parlee Road in Red Penny Papers

I’m also happy to announce that my short story, based on a snippet of New Brunswickian local folklore, Parlee Road will appear in an upcoming issue of the online zine The Red Penny Papers. I’m tickled K.V. Taylor enjoyed the story enough to give it a home. You can check it out in a future issue of The Red Penny Papers, most likely in summer. I’ll keep you posted.  Check out the Red Penny Papers for sensationalist and fantastic fiction.
